Mabon marks the FIRST official day of Fall! In order to celebrate it helps to understand some of the correspondences that go with Mabon. I take some of that work out for you in the Mabon Blends available at Cynnamon Charmed Shop by blending up an herbal combo perfect for that Sabbat but you may want to make your own. Also, you may be putting some final touches on altar decorations or ritual supplies and hopefully this will help you along:
Mabon Date 2017: Friday September 22 Colors: Violet, Red, Orange, Green, Brown, Yellow, Gold---Think about the color theme we see in the trees and foliage during this time of year. That's what we are going for... deep, rich colors. Herbs: Acorns, Asters, Mums, Pine, Fern, Sage, Honeysuckle, Roses, Myrrh, Marigolds. I like to look out in the wild and see the things that are growing naturally across the world during this season to give me idea of appropriate herbs, flowers, and even fruit. Stones: Amethyst, Sapphire, Yellow Topaz, Lapis Lazuli --- I think you could incorporate many of the gold/red stones for Mabon.

There is nothing like brewing up something warm and delicious to drink on those chilly Autumn nights. This Mabon Cider recipe gets us into the harvest spirit with a combination of those fruits, herbs and flavors that will warm us from the inside out.
Today we are seeing our fellow Americans struggle all across our state. We have Texas still reeling from Hurricane Harvey, Montana and California struggling with wildfires and now Hurricane Irma has set its sights on Flordia and possibly Georgia and the Carolina's. Yesterday I posted a video to our Cynnamon Charmed Facebook page which you can view here. In it I discussed how we can all help by sending our energy to those in Flordia and how Cynnamon Charmed will be helping monetarily by donating 20% of all our proceeds from 9/8 through the end of September (and I actually said through the end of the week in the video but felt like that needed extended) to the relief efforts in response to Hurricane Irma. Because Cynnamon Charmed values are fans and customers opinions and these funds wouldn't be possible without you all's support, we want to hear from you on where you think our donation would do the most good. So, I am going to post a poll at the bottom of this page so that we can take a vote on it. And so that we are all informed about the organizations we have to choose from in this poll, I am going to provide a little information copied from each of their individual websites explaining the work that they do. Blessed Be Y'all )O( ORGANIZATION INFORMATION: Americorps- Help communities recover from a hurricane disaster in multiple ways. Because they offer so many different kinds of help I feel better sending you to their website to get more info on that. Click here Unicef- "In the aftermath of any major hurricane, UNICEF puts boots on the ground to help children impacted by the storm. It's a great organization to support if you're looking to help out kid's that live in Irma's path." Team Rubicon- "...unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams." American Red Cross- "Red Cross volunteers and staff work to deliver vital services- from providing relief and support from those in crisis, to helping you be prepared to respond to emergencies." It is one of the largest nonprofits in the world and they work tirelessly to help with relief efforts in disasters like Hurricane Irma. Florida Food Bank (chosen by Cynnamon Charmed)- "One of the biggest challenges in areas affected by disasters like Hurricane Irma is the lack of food for the regions people. Supporting regional food banks are a great way to ensure that no hurricane victims go hungry as a result of the storm." ASPCA- "Natural disasters are unpredictable in the amount of devastation they can cause leaving shelters and rescue groups unable to cope with the amount of abandoned and displaced animals in need. SPCA International's Disaster Relief Fun gives shelter and rescue groups desperately needed support to help animals affected by natural disasters." Sources: www.aspca.org www.nationalservice.gov www.teamrubiconusa.org/ www.blog.fundly.com/raise-money-hurricane-irma-relief-donate/ It has been 2 months since we launched Cynnamon Charmed online, the Facebook page and the Etsy shop. The support we have received has been humbling and it really got me to thinking about how I want to connect with all of our customers and fans in other ways.
You may have noticed that we recently began posting some videos. I always loved the idea of making some videos but it took seeing how you all responded over the past couple months to help me build the confidence to actually begin making them. I want these to be a mixture of different things. I want them to be a way we can interact and connect on a more personal level. It’s hard to get to know the person behind an online business when you only meet them within typed words. I also want to use the videos, as well as our blog, and any other avenues we can bring about to provide you all with information. This will mostly be herb linked or somehow link in with what Cynnamon Charmed is. This is a way for us to give back to you by means of educating you and/or giving you new ideas for your own practices. We would love to hear any ideas you may have or hear about any request for things you would love for us to include in future posts. We want to provide an atmosphere of a complete community where you feel safe to come shop, learn and ask questions. Some day I will learn to post videos to this blog.....BUT until then come on over to our Facebook page and watch our video posted today on ways to use our Mabon Herbal Blend by clicking here.

We are celebrating our 2 month anniversary of opening our online shop with 216 Facebook "LIKES". These likes are very important to us because they represent each and every one of you that share in our love of herbs and you have chosen to spend a small part of each day with us through our Facebook page, our website and/or our blog. We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you so much!!! Thank You! Mercury Retrograde has finally ended just in time for our Full Harvest Moon in Pisces on September 6th. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that lands the closest to the Autumn Equinox. According to our Farmer’s Almanac this would be a perfect time to plant, transplant or graft if you have any of those things to tend to. Different traditions offer different names for the full moons. Harvest Moon is the name of the moon common in the Native American tradition. Here are some other names you may find interesting: China: Chrysanthemum Moon Cherokee: Nut Moon Dakotah Sioux: Moon When The Calves Grow Hair Celtic: Singing Moon English Medieval: Barley Moon Heathen: Haligmonath The following article is from: The Dark Pixie Astrology – September 2017 New & Full Moons: Full Moon in Pisces & New Moon in Virgo: September brings a full moon in Pisces on the 6th at 3:03AM ET, and Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac, so we can see some wrapping up with this full moon. We can take time to clean house, and get rid of what’s holding us back, weighing us down, and keeping us stuck in the past. This can be a great time to let go, and that’s especially needed after the August eclipses and Mercury retrograde, which ends the day before this full moon. We can be more sensitive with this full moon, and need to be handled with kid gloves. Our emotions can be strong, but we can keep what we’re feeling to ourselves, not wanting to be a burden to anyone. We should work to be more compassionate and understanding, no doubt needed after the wonky energy we’re coming out of. The full moon is conjunct (aligned with) the natural ruler of Pisces, Neptune, amplifying the energy of Pisces and making it even more important for us to be sweet, gentle, kind, and caring. Step outside of yourself and lend a hand to someone else. The world needs a little sweetness Don’t forget to check out the Cynnamon Charmed Shop for some fantastic products to help with all your Full Moon Rituals. Our Moon Ritual Kits are one of a kind. Mabon is September 22 and we have a fantastic product to help you with your celebration and ritual needs. However, you need to place your orders by Sept. 11 in order for me to guarantee delivery before Mabon. Click here to view more details about our Mabon Herbal Blend.
